iOS travel money app

Stop leaking money abroad.

TravelFi adds practical tools your trip budget has been missing: exchange-rate verdicts, committed-aware runway, and leak detection for the fees travelers usually notice too late.

Available now for iPhone.

Check the decision before it becomes a receipt.

A travel budget app that answers instead of just records.

A normal travel expense tracker tells you what you spent. TravelFi is for the decisions around the spend: whether the exchange counter is fair, whether dinner breaks the daily pace, and which fees are quietly turning into a second airfare.

The app is organized around the money questions travelers face.

Rate Check

Am I getting ripped off?

Point TravelFi at any exchange quote and it compares the offer against an estimated mid-market rate, then gives you a plain verdict before you hand over cash.

  • Shows the rate freshness label with every verdict.
  • Flags airport counters, weak spreads, and dynamic currency conversion traps.
  • Keeps the language careful: estimates vs mid-market, not bank-grade guarantees.

Runway

Will my money last?

TravelFi treats hotels, tours, and holds as committed spend, so the daily budget is based on what is actually left for the rest of the trip.

  • Free-to-spend cash and locked bookings live in the same view.
  • Daily pace shows whether today is helping or hurting the trip.
  • Historical conversions stay fixed to the rate used when each expense was logged.

Leaks

Where's it leaking?

Small travel-money mistakes rarely feel expensive in the moment. TravelFi totals ATM fees, card foreign-transaction fees, rate spread, and DCC markups weekly.

  • Leak totals roll up by week and whole trip.
  • Guidance focuses on the next practical move, not a generic finance lecture.
  • Designed for travelers who need a travel expense tracker that explains the damage.

ATM fees, card FX, and DCC scams in one weekly number.

TravelFi does not bury the lesson in a ledger export. It totals what leaked, names the biggest source, and gives practical prompts like withdrawing fewer times or choosing local currency at the terminal.

Know the bad rate before it becomes a receipt.

Rate Check turns a posted exchange quote into a clear verdict, while Convert keeps the local-price cheat sheet visible when you are buying food, tickets, or transit in a hurry.

Your travel data stays on your phone.

Trips, expenses, budgets, exchange records, and rate checks stay in the local database on your iPhone. TravelFi has no account system, no bank connection, and no cloud sync for your travel-money history.

Network calls fetch public currency rates and validate optional Pro purchases through Apple and RevenueCat. No trip, expense, budget, exchange, or Rate Check data is included. When service is weak, TravelFi falls back to cached rates.
