What counts as committed travel spending?
Include costs you have agreed to pay but have not fully paid yet, such as hotel balances, booked tours, transport, deposits, and card holds that reduce usable money.
Should flights be included in a travel budget?
Include flights if they come from the same total budget. If they were paid from a separate pool before the trip, exclude them and calculate only the money available during travel.
Why is my daily budget lower than total budget divided by trip days?
That simple calculation ignores money already spent and future bookings. A useful daily budget subtracts both, then divides only the free-to-spend balance by remaining days.
